What security do we have that the Constitution will be followed?

The President, members of Congress, the members of State Legislatures, all public officers of the United States and each of the States takes an oath of office promising to uphold the Constitution. Each branch of government provides a check and balance for the others, and both lesser and greater magistrates check and balance each other.
