Should citizens honor or acknowledge the Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution?

While the content of the Fourteenth Amendment is just and fair, no amendment should be acknowledged unless it is Constitutionally ratified, regardless of how long it has been seen to have been in force. It should be properly ratified by duly elected representatives of the People.
