What is the supreme law of the United States?

The Constitution itself is supreme; and all laws and treaties made by Congress and the President, in conformity with it, are superior to any law made by one of the States, so that if a law of a State contradicts a law of Congress, the State law is of no force, and the United States law alone must be obeyed.
